Five Travel Tips

I’m currently writing this on a plane to Hawaii, with lots of upcoming travel in the next few months. I love traveling and am always looking for new places to go. Today I’m sharing five travel tips that I always keep in mind when planning my next trip. I hope these are beneficial to you & if you have a tip, share it in the comments!

Five Travel Tips

-Use an app like Hopper or SkyScanner to track flights, find the best deals, and figure out when you should book your flight. I have been traveling a ton lately and whenever I’m going to buy flights I always track them first on Hopper so I know what day I should purchase for the lowest rate.

-Make sure to use a Private window. I’ve seen on many different websites that if you’re frequently googling prices for a specific flight, the price will rise each day because Google (or the airlines website) knows you need a ticket for that flight. To be safe, I always go incognito to assure I’m getting the cheapest deal!

-Never checkout as a guest. Always make sure you have an account and can be saving up points! My parents created an Alaska Airlines account for me when I was younger so I’ve been saving up miles for years now and it’s definitely paid off. Now that I travel more, I have an account with most major airlines as well as Expedia.

Whenever I check-in for my flight the day before, I always look for any empty rows and switch to the window seat in that row. In the past 3ish years this has caused me to have an empty middle seat next to me on 10+ flights! If you don’t want to splurge on a first class seat but want more room, I highly recommend doing this. It doesn’t always work but you just might get lucky!

For last minute travel, I recommend using the app Hotel Tonight. All you have to do is type in your destination and it will show you all of the hotels in the area, with their rates for last-minute booking. I’ve used it a few times and love it! It lets you see hotels for about a week ahead.

Thank you for reading & I hope you enjoyed these five travel tips!
